One of my favourite summer drinks is the Starbucks Passion Tea Lemonade.
Last weekend, I made a DIY passion tea lemonade and brought it to a Canada Day party – it was a hit! I got so many compliments on it. Here is the recipe, so that you can make your own passion tea lemonade at home on a hot summer day.
Step 1 – Fill up a large jug halfway with lukewarm water, and place 5-6 TAZO Passion Tea bags in the water.
Step 2 – Put the jug outside in the sun, and leave it there for 3-5 hours
(Make sure its a sunny and warm day so t
hat it gets hot enough to steep the tea!)
Step 3 – Remove the tea bags and fill up the rest of the jug with lemonade. I used a skinny lemonade to lower the sugar content but normal lemonade is just as good.
The jug should basically be half sun steeped passion tea, half lemonade.
Note: Sun tea is not as strong as normal tea. To add extra flavour, I added a splash of passionfruit juice.
Step 4 – Place in the fridge until cool. This usually takes at least an hour.
When serving, I added somelemons that I had cut up and frozen to make the drink extra cold without diluting the flavour.
I hope you enjoy this refreshing drink! What is your summer go-to drink?
